OUR BUILDINGS ARE SMOKE-FREE!

Smoking, and other forms of tobacco use, including vaping are not permitted inside the historic buildings of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Martinsburg Shops.

Outdoor designated smoking areas are allowed at a distance of 20 feet or more outside any entrance, exit, or ventilation unit of any building.

EVENT-RELATED ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION

The consumption of alcoholic beverages and/or the possession of an open container of alcoholic beverage by anyone under the age of 21 is prohibited.
All Event Sponsors/Facilitators must agree to refuse to allow alcohol to be served to, or consumed by, any person who is visibly intoxicated or under 21 years of age. All alcohol service must be monitored and by Event Sponsor/Facilitators, which must specifically acknowledge that they are solely liable for the consumption of any alcohol by any person on the premises and that such liability shall extend to any aspect regarding the consumption of alcohol.
A representative of the Berkeley County Roundhouse Authority may; (1) ask guests for identification to verify age and reserves the right to ask the entire party to leave if an individual under the age of 21 is consuming alcohol; (2) an adult is providing alcohol to an individual under the age of 21; (3) a guest or guests appear(s) intoxicated and refuses to leave the premises. If alcohol is sold at an event, the Roundhouse Authority must receive proof in advance that the party, and/or persons contracted by the party, have a valid license from the West Virginia Alcohol Beverage Control Administration (WVABCA).

If alcohol is sold, it shall not be consumed outside of a defined floor plan approved by the WVABCA. If alcohol is sold and/or consumed at any event, a contract for Event Security Services shall be provided to the Berkeley County Roundhouse Authority prior to the event.

PRIVATE OUTDOOR DESIGNATED AREA (PODA) 

The PODA in downtown Martinsburg occurs Monday through Friday from 5PM to 10PM, Saturday and Sunday from 10AM to 10PM.  During the PODA, persons age 21 or older can purchase a to-go drink in a designated PODA to-go cup (a clear cup with the PODA logo) and explore the downtown, including the Roundhouse!**

**The Berkeley County Roundhouse Authority reserves the right to not participate in PODA during such times when children are on the grounds of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Martinsburg Shops for various events and activities.
